My weekend in the form of my gratitude list {eucharisteo} and of course photos

The Month of June:

The Month of “Summer is here, yes sir”!

&

cool wide green leaves above you; cool green tickle-y grass below you

&

housework neglected/ decks enjoyed

&

roses in the garden.

We could not ask for a better way for the advent of June to unfurl on us all this past Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Even though Mr.MS and the big girl postponed  their “weekend in the woods” adventure with a high chance of thunderstorms predicted all weekend in the forecast {that never came}

it was, nonetheless, a perfect toss salad of outside projects, kid revelry,  hammock chill~laxin, book reading, garden enjoying, as you are ever gonna get.

Linking up very, very late in the day with Ann’s Voskamp’s Multitudes of Monday for my listing of gifts. Here is my list and pixel-proof  of how my cup surely runneth over:

#854 weekends spent  at home with family in the sun

#855 pretty gravel paths shoveled out and laid down on Friday in the heat {by me!}

#856 lights strung over a hammock

#857 conversations with The Babe on the hammock

#858 conversations with Mr.MS {mostly in the form of sarcastic jokes} on the hammock

#859 the 2nd big girl earning a nook by devouring 3 American girl series {Kit, Caroline, and Felicity in case you where wondering} and then kept on reading like the book worm I have always longed for

#860 a sermon on true anointing based on Exodus 30: 22-33

#861 The Holy Spirit’s faint but insistent urging to go forward at a church I have never attended to be anointed myself

#862 experiencing what it truly means to be part of one body, one church

#863 finishing a great classic and then picking up a fantastic, spiritual memoir by an author I am becoming quite smitten with the same weekend with my daughter-made duct tape flower pen in hand for underlining inspiring passages

#864 the freedom to abandon most inside housework to work and chill outside for three days is a row

#865 observing a 9-child water fight in our backyard that went till it was too dark to see who was drenching whom with buckets of water from a kiddy pool {four daughters, three nieces, two nephews}

#866 our awesome white and fragrant heirloom rose bush {that i did not plant} spilling over onto our deck

  1. What a nice weekend. I love the hanging lights you put above the hammock, and the cozy, garden feel of all your pics. Cute duct tape flower pen. Impressive. And I STILL haven’t read anything by Jen Hatmaker, but have only heard rave reviews. I just got Melanie Shankle’s Sparkly Green Earrings, but after that, I think I’m going to pick up one of Jen Hatmaker’s books. Hope you had a good day, Leah!!

    • thanks. yep sparkly green earrings is on my list too, along with about 30 others. I highly recommend Interrupted and Seven…she wrote Interrupted first and Seven a few years later.
